Fjörd Fjärlane/River City Rampage
1982- current

Today known as Fjörd Fjärlane, this spinning thrill ride was originally added to the park in 1982 known as River City Rampage and located in Americana, approximately where Cotton Blossom BBQ is today. Often incorrectly identified as a HUSS Rides Swing Around model, Fjörd Fjärlane is a "knock off" brand produced by Japanese manufacturing company Meisho, today known as Sanoyas Rides.

Like today, River City Rampage offered riders one of 14 2-seat cars that circled a central hub with each car being propelled up to (theoretically) 90-degree angle into the air, giving the ride a diameter ranging from 32 to 71 feet wide. Added as part of 1982, 10th-anniversary celebration Rampage was not the only attraction to be added to the park that season. Park expansions also included the addition of Country Junction theater, Viking Vheel and Pony Promenade children's rides, the entire Oceans of Fun waterpark and finally the newly expanded area that was home to the Rampage, River City. Themed to a wharf-side shopping district, Rampage was River City's anchor and it was surrounded by six different boutique shops at its peak. In 1991, the River City area was transformed into Beat Street and added the "new" Rockin' Reeler which caused the relocation of River City Rampage to Scandinavia, and the re-naming of the attraction to Fjörd Fjärlane. The shopping area would continue to exist with only minor exterior modifications until 2003 when it became briefly a haunt (Carnival of Carnivorous Clowns) and then in 2006 it was partially demolished, with the remaining section being used as Patriot Landing gift shop.

In 2017 Fjörd Fjärlane was updated once again to receive a brand new light package to coordinate with the renovation and addition of the new park gate right next door. Today, at almost forty years old Fjörd Fjärlane still offers a fun exciting ride to start or end any day at the park.
