RIDES

This isn't your ordinary swimming pool. The Surf City Wave Pool is the first attraction you encounter as you enter Oceans of Fun. This is probably the most popular attraction in the park. This is a one million gallon swimming pool that starts out at 0 feet deep and gradually works its way up to 8 feet deep. The waves at Surf City work in ten minute cycles and can reach up to four feet in height! |

Hurricane Falls is a 72 foot tall super slide and is new for the 1999 season! Up to six riders speed down a 14 foot wide flume in a giant circular raft. During this 680 foot trip the raft will be sloshed around and shoot up the side of the flume at a near 90 degree angle! This is a great addition for those thrill seekers that are looking to get soaked.

Three water slides make up the Diamond Head complex at Oceans of Fun. These slides are the three original slides to the park and are very popular. The three slides combined reach over 900 feet in length. The rider has three choices, the Waikiki Wipeout, the Honolulu Lulu or the Maui WoWee. Each end up in the same four foot deep pool.

Located between The Diamond Head and the Surf City Wave Pool, Castaway Cove is an adults only swimming pool that includes a swim-up refreshment cabana, jacuzzi jets and a sun deck. This area is restricted to adults 21 years or older.

One of the two areas created especially for children, this area includes an interactive Pirate Ship including; small water slides, water cannons, and waterfalls.

Captain Kidds is located in the center of a 2,000 square-foot wadding pool created especially for children at Oceans of Fun, named Crocodile Isle. A special area that contains, child-size water slides, floating animals and water cannons.

Two parrallel High Speed Slides heralded as one of the World's Longest Dual Water Speed Slides. The Typhoon is a 400 foot long, straightaway with dual hump-backed slides. Riders lay on their backs and end up crashing into the 3 feet deep pool at speeds up to 30 mph.

Exhausted on high speed water slides and 3 foot tall waves? The Caribbean Cooler was designed as a relaxing 800 foot long gentle river. In which visitors can either float or swim around the shaded 3 foot deep pool. There is also a small sun deck located on the interior island.

This 4' pool is a far cry from is predecessor, Neptune's Lagoon. It contains Aruba Tuba (see below), two water slides, and six smaller child size water slides along with several other floating animals. Overall this family pool covers 20,000 square feet and is for all ages.

The Two 43 foot tall contrasting slides of the Aruba Tuba make up a portion of Coconut Cove. The First slide, is completly enclosed, allowing only one rider, and follows a twisting pattern, while the second slide is a double tube slide with bumps and twists.

A natural lake in which guests can paddle and ride in personal kayaks. Life Jackets must be worn at all times.

The Monsoon is the only ride shared by both Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun. The Monsoon consists of a 20-passenger boat which descends at speeds up to 35-mph down a 50 foot, bumped hill. The impact with the lagoon creates a large tidal wave which drenches the riders and all the people standing on the Same-Day Gateway bridge.
